Art has been a lifelong journey shaped by joy, curiosity, and connection. My work reflects the quiet rhythms of nature, exploring cycles of presence, transformation, and renewal. Through imagined landscapes, and organic forms, I create contemplative spaces that invite reflection, stillness, and a deeper awareness of life’s interconnected patterns.

As a child, I believed three trees communicated with me. Though that sense of direct dialogue occurred only once, its imprint remains embedded in my work. Formerly living in places where nature is respected has further shaped my visual language. Experiencing the flowing lava and Pele’s hair of Hawaii’s Big Island, the desert blooms of Arizona, and the luminous rainforests of Puerto Rico expanded my understanding of color, movement, and elemental force. I am continually moved by the shifting energies of the natural world, from the brilliance of autumn leaves to the hushed stillness of winter in New York. And now I have fallen in love with the beauty of Texas.

Working with alcohol ink, acrylic, and oil, I explore flow, texture, and the subtle balance between unpredictability and
control. Its movement requires trust and responsiveness, allowing each piece to unfold through layered transparency and organic diffusion. In my paintings, I seek to capture those fleeting thresholds where movement and stillness coexist.

Painting has also become a refuge and transformative practice in my own life, offering a space to release, remain present, and trusting the process. Whether in the studio or in the classroom, I aim to cultivate environments where reflection, healing, and creative voice can emerge, honoring nature’s quiet wisdom and the spirit of connection within us all.
